About Felicia Chavez, Green MBA, PhD Candidate
Felicia graduated from the Green MBA in 2007 (when it was still at New College of California). She also holds a B.A. in psychology from Dominican University of California. From 2010 – 2012 she was a consultant to corporate clients, helping them to green their operations. This included coordinating San Francisco Green Business Certification processes, auditing e-waste procedures for all locations of a North American technology firm, and analyzing paper use and related environmental impact of a national insurance company.
On April 26, 2017 Felicia successfully defended her dissertation to earn her PhD in the Mythological Studies with a Depth Psychology emphasis at Pacifica Graduate Institute. (View her oral defense here.) The title of Felicia’s dissertation is Sustainability and Spirituality: Common Threads and Common Threats. Professionally she has worked for a variety of non-profit and for-profit organizations, including as a sustainability consultant. She is passionate about making the world a better place, and believes it’s up to us to make it happen.
